Research projects

An initial literature survey leads to the formulation of a research plan. The project is then carried out and written up as a detailed research report (up to 10,000 words). The results are also presented orally at the end of the course at a special presentations session attended by invited guests (ex-students, clinical advisors etc) as well as present staff and students.

Students are encouraged to develop original ideas. In addition, suitable areas for research will be suggested where local resources (lab facilities etc) are available. Each project will have a main (first) supervisor and a second supervisor, both of whom will be available to discuss plans and progress.
