Course information, 2008/2009Research Methods7.5 credit module for the M Sc School of Human Health and Performance Course organiser: Dr Bruce Lynn, Physiology Dept., UCL Aim. To develop skills in data analysis, including use of spread sheets and statistical analysis. To introduce key issues related to the design and planning of a small research project in the area of human health and performance.
As well as the timetabled sessions, extra time will be needed by many students to complete all the problems that will be set. Completing these problems will be essential for becoming fully proficient. Assignment A must be completed by Sept 29th Material for Lectures and Workshops 2 and 3 will be self study with web support using WebCT Assignment B to be submitted by Oct 10th Assignment C in by Oct 31st After completing the lectures students can find some additional Self test exercises if they feel they need them or can use the material in the Practice exams and old exam papers on WebCT.
