Assessment of clinical education
For this module there are both formative and summative examinations and assignments.

Formative

Students are expected to relate pathological processes, biomechanics and clinical features with treatment strategies.
Patient presentations and follow-up study. Each student presents a patient to their peer group and tutors in college, which is peer assessed. Each student writes a follow-up case study.

Summative
Two Patient Examinations. During the clinical practice students are examined assessing and treating two patients. Two examiners are present on each occasion; the clinical tutor and a college tutor.
Patient Focused Essay. One patient focused essay which assesses the integration of scientific and clinical evidence and concepts into patient management.
Analytical Report of Field Education.

Weighting and Aggregation
Students must pass both patient examinations and the marks are aggregated into one which is then weighted at 50%. The essay is weighted at 25%. The analytical report is weighted at 25%
